Since graduating from Edith Cowan University with a Bachelor in Speech Pathology, Ella has worked in early intervention and disability settings, specialising in Autism Spectrum Disorder and also supporting clients with other or co-existing diagnoses including Attention Deficit Disorder/ Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Global Developmental Delay and Intellectual Disability. Ella is passionate about supporting clients and their families to reach their communication, with an individualised approach to therapy, incorporating their interests and strengths throughout.
Ella has a particular interest in developing early language skills, speech delays and social communication skills. Ella utilises play-based approaches in her therapy sessions to ensure they are not only fun and engaging but support her clients in applying the skills they are learning in therapy into all of their environments. Ella has experience working as part of transdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary teams and sees the value in collaboration amongst the key support networks in a client’s life.
Outside of her role as a Speech Pathologist, Ella enjoys spending time along the beautiful W.A. coastline with friends and family.
